Angela Salgado has more than 30 years of experience in management and human resources. Before coming to CHASS Center, Angela Salgado was the Regional Human Resources Manager for Meritor – a tier-one automotive supplier. There, she led union contract negotiations as the first chair of the company. Mrs. Salgado is a first-generation university graduate and has lived in the Southwest Detroit surrounding area for over 30 years. Mrs. Salgado earned her Master of Business Administration degree from Davenport University and graduated from Spring Arbor University attaining a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Organizational Development degree. In 2008, Mrs. Salgado was a recipient of the Journey to Success for Outstanding Achievement Award from SER METRO-Detroit.

To the role of CHASS’ Chief Operating Officer, Mrs. Salgado brings her business management education, strong leadership skills, financial proficiency in accounting, expertise in collective bargaining negotiation, strategic human resources development, and the ability to drive cultural changes in the workplace. Mrs. Salgado is bicultural and fluent in the Spanish language.
