Dr. Richard Bryce is a family physician and the Chief Medical Officer at CHASS Center. His passion is to promote and motivate his patients to pursue healthier lifestyles. With the objective of improving exposure to physical activity within our patients and the Southwest and Mexicantown Detroit community, Dr. Bryce started and champions CHASS’ Annual 5K Run/Walk and Children's Race. Dr. Bryce also initiated the Reach Out and Read program at CHASS Center, which provides our pediatric patients with a book at each well child visit. Additionally, he is the provider champion for the Fresh Prescription Program at CHASS Center, where he and other providers prescribe fresh fruits and vegetables to their patients that are "filled" at the Center's seasonal produce market, with the goal of increasing access and consumption of these foods. Outside of CHASS, Dr. Bryce is a Faculty Advisor for Street Medicine Detroit and Detroit Street Care, student organizations affiliated with Wayne State University School of Medicine and Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. These programs provide medical care to Detroit’s homeless population. Dr. Bryce is clinical faculty at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, Wayne State University School of Medicine and the Henry Ford Health System.
