Mrs. McGruder was born and raised in Detroit and is a community activist as a resident of the City. She has practiced as a dental hygienist for over 30 years, joining CHASS Center in 1998. Mrs. McGruder is a recipient of the Spirit of Detroit Award from the Detroit City Council and a member of the American Dental Hygiene Association.
