Melissa serves as the Program Coordinator for the Women Infants and Children program (WIC). Melissa has her B.A. in Health Studies with a Minor in Psychology and Health Promotion and B.S. in Nutrition Science. Currently she attends Michigan State University and is working on completing her M.S. in Public Health. She has worked in Southwest Detroit specializing in non-profit program development and recruitment for organizations such as The Guidance Center, Boys Hope Girls Hope of Detroit and most recently as Director of Admissions of Detroit Cristo Rey High School. Melissa is passionate about serving families in the community which she was born and raised in. She is honored to be able to serve clients by providing high quality nutrition services in both English and Spanish at CHASS WIC, while partnering with the Institute for Population Health.
