J. Ricardo Guzman has more than 45 years experience working with health and human service programs targeting the southwest Detroit Hispanic community. Since 1983, Ricardo has guided the Community Health and Social Services Center (CHASS), a comprehensive Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) with locations in Detroit, Michigan. Ricardo has been successful in building a new 48,000 sq. ft. health center in SW Detroit. He has co-authored numerous published articles and was recently elected Chair of the Washington DC based National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC).
